Vinification:

Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.

16 months in barrels, 80 % French oak and 20 % American oak.

Tasting note:

A wine with a medium-high layer of dark red colour. The flavour is intense and complex with notes of pine forest and aromatic herbs in the clearings of the pine forest. Plum and cherry are the protagonists, with blackberry behind them. In between, there are notes of spices and damp earth, as well as hints of red and black fruits; it is voluminous and full, filling the palate. Its registers are very expressive and complex. The fruity notes emerge together with the earth and aromatic plants. The tannin is sweet and of very good quality, although it is still present and gives the whole an important structure. It is powerful and elegant at the same time, leaving an impression of freshness. It is a faithful representation of the 2017 vintage, a year of spring frost, with low production and concentrated wines, with a higher volume than usual in CORIMBO. Wine produced at 100% from the Tinta del País grape variety, which has been cultivated for an average of 25 to 30 years in the area of La Horra and Roa de Duero (Burgos) in organic viticulture with bush vines and without irrigation.
