Tasting note:
Fine and complex intensity on the nose. Ripe plums, damsons and cassis present an incredible interplay of flavours. On the palate, some oak, leather and lots of ripe fruit flavours paired with a wonderful elegance and spiciness, the wine finishes with impressive length and a lot of melting. Top value for money. This is what makes Bordeaux so much fun!
Chateau Bourseau:
Château Bourseau, a charming domain in Lalande-de-Pomerol, epitomises the unmistakable beauty of this prestigious wine region. With a history dating back to the 17th century, the château is now family-owned and run. The vineyards of Château Bourseau extend over 25 hectares and benefit from the unique terroir conditions of Lalande-de-Pomerol. The vineyards are cultivated without chemical aids or fertilisers in order to strengthen biodiversity and maintain soil fertility. The soils consist mainly of gravel and pebbles, on which Merlot and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc grapes thrive. This composition is partly responsible for the unmistakable richness and complexity of the wines. Château Bourseau wines are known for their finesse and longevity. With silky tannins and a variety of flavours, including ripe dark fruits such as cherry, plum and cassis as well as floral notes and the typical subtle mineral nuance, they perfectly capture the character of the Lalande-de-Pomerol terroir.
