75 cl
Falstaff: 89 points
Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
Grape varieties: 100% Pinor Noir
Vinification:
The alcoholic fermentation of the must takes place in stainless steel tanks. The base wines are then blended and bottled. The second fermentation takes place on the lees for 24 months using the classic method.
Tasting note:
Delicately sparkling salmon colour with golden accents. Finely characterised nose of ripe blackberries, pickled quinces, then lightly of biscuit and roasted hazelnuts. Savoury on the palate, with a broad, interwoven perlage, almost opulent, minimal grapefruit in the finish.
Tenuta Montesia:
The Montenisa Montenisa estate is located in the heart of Franciacorta near the village of Calino, a jewel in this gentle part of Italy, where centuries of history have passed by ancient palaces, monasteries, abbeys and small churches scattered among the green hills and moraine valleys. It is said that the name Franciacorte goes back to "Petite France", the affectionate name given to this region by Charlemagne.
