Vinifcation:

The grapes for the Bordeaux cuvée come from carefully selected vineyards in Locarno and Sottoceneri, whose sandy and loamy soils give the wine its characteristic depth and structure. With a planting density of 4,500 to 5,000 vines per hectare and a yield of 800 g per square metre, the vines are cultivated according to the Guyot and spurred cordon training systems.

Tasting note:

Melodia presents itself in the glass in a dark garnet red colour with ruby red reflections. The bouquet is intense, complex and elegant, characterised by aromas of roasted almonds, savoury spices such as black pepper, dried plums and blackcurrants. Fine notes of bitter cocoa and pickled fruit round off the aroma profile. On the palate, the wine is dry, full-bodied and enveloping with a velvety texture and dense tannins. The long-lasting, fresh finish is accompanied by a light spiciness.

In addition to viticulture, the estate also produces numerous culinary specialities: rice from its own dry cultivation, single-varietal polenta, award-winning vinegars and other hand-picked products that reflect the diversity and quality of the region.
