Tasting note:
Bright ruby red colour. In the nose a gentle aroma of blackberries, ripe berries, some liquorice and mint, as well as a fine sealing wax in the aftertaste. Radiant, clear, well-woven tannins on the palate, more fruit present, very juicy on the finish, balanced and profound, long finish.
Tenuta Sette Ponti:
Sette Ponti is located in the heart of Chianti, one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, not far from the historic town of Arezzo. The Tenuta has been owned by the Moretti family since the 1950s.
Today, the estate comprises around 300 hectares of land, of which around 50 hectares are used for viticulture. The Tenuta's oldest vineyard, "Vigna dell' Imperio" (Vineyard of the Emperor), was planted in 1935 by His Royal Highness Vittorio Emanuele Conte di Torino. It covers 3 hectares, is mainly planted with Sangiovese and is preferably used for today's cult wine "Oreno".
