Tasting note:

It is a very elegant, mineral and fresh wine with a straw-yellow colour and greenish reflections. The nose reveals fruity notes reminiscent of pear and especially peach, with aromas of acacia blossom and almonds. Very balanced on the palate and with a fine acidity structure, the wine finishes on a subtle bitter note. This Roero Arneis is best enjoyed with fresh fish, seafood, vegetable pasta or simply as an aperitif.

Bruno Giacosa:

Bruno Giacosa is one of the most prominent cellar masters in Piedmont and the whole of Italy. His Baroli and Barbareschi are among the elite of the world's best wines. Not all of his grapes come from his own vineyards, but whatever Bruno Giacosa processes, only the best is good enough. He follows a very traditional style of vinification, with maceration lasting longer than average. Giacosa also requires patience for the ageing period in large wooden barrels and then in the bottle. And this is definitely worth it.

His wines are always characterised by perfect polish, balance, great complexity and clear definition. As one of the first Piedmontese to vinify Nebbiolo according to individual vineyards and to produce crus, he knows how to emphasise the typicity accordingly.
