CHF 115.00
In stock
150 cl
Robert Parker: 95 points
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Grape varieties: 100% Pinot Noir
Vinification:
Spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks, 18 days of contact with the skins, 30% whole bunches.
Matured for 12 months in barriques, 40% new wood
Tasting note:
Wild berries, elderberry, wild cherry and notes of hazelnuts and a little tar on the nose. Cool fruit on the palate too, the acidity has grip and envelops the ripe, present tannins. A prime example of the cool, elegant character of an Alpine Pinot.
Scadenagut Wegelin winery:
Since 2019, Rafael Huf and his wife Mathilde Hug Pédeutour have been running the winery, which was managed by Peter Wegelin for over 40 years.
The winery is known for intervening as little as possible in the winemaking process in the cellar. The wines are given the time they need to develop, resulting in authentic wines full of character.
