75 cl
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Grape varieties: 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot
Tasting note:
Impressive fullness and clarity of red and dark berries. Also slightly spicy flavours of pastries. On the palate it has a very crisp, polished and neat tannin structure and super fresh flavours that linger. A great wine. Try from 2022.
Chateau Cantemerle:
Chateau Cantemerle was first mentioned historically in 1147, but was not associated with viticulture until 1354.
Around 90 hectares of vineyards are currently cultivated at Chateau Cantemerle, which are essentially made up of 3 large parcels. Thanks in particular to new plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, the range of grape varieties - 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot - corresponds to the stylistic orientation of the wine towards a straightforward, very focussed, cassis-fruity Haut Medoc with a considerable tendency towards more finesse and delicacy.
