Vinification:

The Hauts de Smith are produced in the assemblage of Château Smith Haut Lafitte and are vinified and aged with the same care as the lots that make up the first wine.

Tasting note:

The Hauts de Smith Rouge 2016 has a very dark red colour, very dense. The nose is already open with a beautiful expression of red fruits (raspberry, cherry) and black fruits. With movement, the nose becomes more complex with notes of sweet spices and toast. On the palate, it is open with a good concentration and a nice fatness. The wine is round and delicate, with beautiful tannins and a nice suppleness. Long and supple on the palate, it finishes with a beautiful freshness and a great aromatic expression of red and black fruits, spices and flint notes. Pessac - Leognan
