Tasting note:

Colour: Ruby red colour.

Nose: Tertiary aromas from the barrel, with notes of vanilla, biscuit, cocoa and coconut. At the same time, the freshness remains, as fruity notes also dominate, especially red fruits and strawberry tones.

Palate: Very balanced in the mouth and full of complexity. Pleasant entry and very good tannin structure with silky, velvety tannins: In combination with a very good acidity, this gives it length.

Bodegas Matsu:

MATSU (japanisch für Hoffnung) ist ein modernes und sehr nachhaltiges Weinbau-Projekt der Unternehmer- und Winzerfamilie Ambarri (Vintae). Bodegas Matsu ist in der D.O. Toro beheimatet und bringt etwas fernöstliche Kultur in diese alte Weinbauregion. Das Zusammenspiel zwischen Natur und Technik steht hier im Vordergrund. Die bemerkenswerten Rotweine von Matsu werden allesamt bio-dynamisch ausgebaut. Auf den Einsatz von Herbiziden, Insektiziden und Fungiziden wird bei den Reben, die zum Teil mehr als einhundert Jahre alt sind, komplett verzichtet.
