Vinification:

Produced from 30 year old vines. Harvested by hand. Fermentation, maceration and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques.

Tasting note:

Animating cherry red colour. An intense balsamic aroma with notes of vanilla, liquorice and caramel harmonise perfectly with the aromas of red berries and liqueur pralines. The result of a ripe Tempranillo grape. Very fresh on the palate, with no rough edges. A wine with great volume and ripe tannins. The acidity is very well integrated. The wine impresses with its complexity and long-lasting finish.

Bodegas Nexus:

Bodega Nexus was founded in 1999 together with its sister winery Bodega Frontaura in the neighbouring Toro wine-growing region. Modern cellar technology is used here in order to preserve as much as possible of what the team has produced using traditional manual labour in the vineyards.

The winery is located in the prestigious heart of the wine-growing region in Pesquera de Duero. However, a total of 5 different vineyards are cultivated in three different municipalities. The diversity and uniqueness of these sites is brought out with a great deal of dedication and manual labour in the vineyard.
