In Barriques die medium bis kräftig getoasted sind, der Ausbau erfolgt über 22 Monate.

Degustatiomsnotiz:

Funkelndes, intensives Rubin mit feinem Violettschimmer. Beeindruckende, vielschichtige Nase, duftet nach Brombeeeren, Zwetschgen, schwarzen Johannisbeeren, unterlegt von feinen Kräuternoten. Am Gaumen satt und kompakt, zeigt viel dunkelbeerige Frucht, dazu Noten von Tabak und Zedernholz, öffnet sich mit straffem, dichtmaschigem Tannin, tiefgründig und lange. Der Jungwein während 20 Monaten in Barriques ausgebaut, daher wurde dieser Wein erst im August Abgefüllt.

Le Macchiole:

The 22 hectares of vineyards are extremely densely planted with around 10,000 vines per hectare and are cultivated organically. The grapes are very strictly selected. From the very beginning, the aim of the management was to maximise the characteristics of the terroir in the individual subzones on their own land.

The Le Macchiole winery has received numerous top ratings from wine critics to date. For its many years of service, it was recognised as the best winery in Italy by the Associazione Italiana Sommelier (AIS) in 2009 and two years later by the magazine Wine Enthusiast zum Weingut des Jahres gekrönt
