75 cl
Falstaff: 96 points
Alcohol content: 14% vol.
Grape varieties: 90% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha
Vinification:
Fermentation with juicy yeasts in concrete vats. Maturation in concrete, large oak barrels and French oak barriques. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unclarified.
Tasting note:
Dense, complex nose with notes of light and dark fruits, elderberries, redcurrants, cherries, plus spicy components that provide additional freshness, engaging flavour. Extremely elegant on the palate with again present fruit flavours, juicy acidity and fine tannins. Finishes long and elegant.
Bodegas y Vinedos Alnardo:
In 2006, the legendary Peter Sisseck launched a special project, "PSI", in an endeavour to show the wines of the Duero in a different light. In the many years of his work, he has discovered numerous sensational small vineyards from which great wines can be made, but which, for various reasons, produce nothing special.
He wants to preserve these wonderful and diverse plots as small enclaves, convert them to organic viticulture in the long term and make musts from them that interpret the naturalness of the grape variety.
