Vinous: 96 points
Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
Grape varieties: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification:
After pressing and destemming the selected grapes, fermentation begins between 28°C and 30°C. The entire maceration process takes place for 16-20 days in steel tanks with automatic punching down and daily pumping over. In spring, the Red wine from Italy transferred to new French oak barriques and cuvéed and bottled after 18-20 months of maturation.
Tasting note:
Shows a rich ruby-garnet colour. Opens with pronounced earthy notes of truffle and hazelnuts, then lots of blackberry, some cocoa in the background, already very ripe on the nose. Blossoms beautifully on the palate, spicy and with ripe berry fruit, ripe raspberry notes, lots of blackberry, grippy, dense tannin, salty on the finish.
