The Vinattieri winery was built in the classic Bordeaux style: The centrepiece is the courtyard, the heart, where the grapes are delivered and selected. Depending on the quality, the wine is matured in steel tanks or barriques. After bottling, Vinattieri allows the wines to mature in the bottle, which can take between one and four years, depending on the variety.

75 cl
Falstaff: 96 points
Alcohol content: 14.55 vol.
Grape varieties: 100% Merlot
Vinification:
Classic fermentation in a 7000-litre wooden vat.
Some of the harvested grapes are dried before pressing.
The wine is then aged for at least 18 months in new barriques and matures for a further year in the bottle before being released for sale.
Tasting note:
Wonderfully typical Merlot nose: ripe cherry, a little dried plum and a hint of blood orange. Allspice and mace take over the spicy part. Present but very fine-grained tannin on the palate, long acid nerve. Maximum freshness and elegance on the finish.
