Harvest as late harvest, mid-November. Fermentation and ageing in used barrels.

Tasting note:

Harvested late and shrivelled at high gradations of 105-110° Oechsle, macerated overnight and fermented for nine months in old Chardonnay barrels, the citrus-coloured 2021 Completer Malanserrebe offers a clear and precise bouquet of concentrated fruit interwoven with iodine notes. On the palate, it is elegant and refined, a full-bodied, very complex and intense, salty-crystalline white wine with enormous vitality and mineral tension. The acidity is enormous this year (11.5 grams per litre), but ripe and lively. The finish is very long and complex, with a charming sweetness of nine grams per litre, which comes across as elegant fruit. A truly great wine. 14.8% stated alcohol. Natural cork.
