In stock
75 cl
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Grape varieties: 100% Grüner Veltliner
Tasting note:
The nose presents fresh meadow, a hint of peach, but exotic fruits such as green banana and grapefruit are also present. The partial maturation in barriques reveals slight nuances of brioche, a harmonious interplay between acidity, minerality and alcohol content. A medium to long finish with an aftertaste of Golden Delicious apples paired with a light peppery spiciness.
Winery Markowitsch:
Gerhard Markowitsch is one of those exceptional talents who know how to produce exceptional wines. Through perfection in the vineyard, meticulous selection of the grapes and interaction with the latest technology, the likeable winemaker manages to refine his wines every year and further improve their quality.
Gerhard Markowitsch's wines are authentic, independent and accurately reflect the characters of local and international grape varieties. In 1999, Falstaff named him Winemaker of the Year; and his "Markowitsch M1" has just been awarded the full 100 points by Falstaff. His principles of patience, balance, character and technique have thus paid off in full. We are thrilled - not only by the variety, but also by the character of each individual wine. A particularly exciting producer who we will certainly be hearing a lot more about in the future.
