Vinification:

Die Trauben für den La Villa, wovon etwa 85% Tempranillo ausmachen, werden äusserst selektiv und separat geerntet und anschliessend sorgfältig verarbeitet. Der Wein durchläuft einen Reifeprozess von 24 Monaten in amerikanischen Barrique-Fässern, gefolgt von weiteren 24 Monaten in der Flasche, bevor er schliesslich für den Verkauf freigegeben wird.

Tasting note:

Der La Villa begeistert in der Nase mit seiner dunklen Beerenaromatik, begleitet von subtilen Noten von Vanille und Mandeln. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich vollmundig, äusserst offensiv und mit gewaltiger Konzentration. Die perfekte Struktur zwischen Fruchtigkeit und Barrique-Einflüssen zeigt sich in einem sehr langen Abgang. La Villa ist ein Spitzenrioja, der die Eleganz und die Geschichte der Ursprungsstadt Murillo de Rio Leza perfekt widerspiegelt.

Paco Garcia:

Bodegas Paco Garcia is situated 420 metres above sea level in the picturesque village of Murillo de Río Leza, not far from the provincial capital, Logroño. Paco Garcia was founded by Julia Pablo and Francisco Garcia. The experienced businessman decided to set up a small village shop in the community. However, the Garcia family’s true passion has always been viticulture. Using the proceeds from the shop, the family gradually acquired further vineyards and later built their own winery. Today, the Garcia family owns around 40 hectares of vineyards in the central part of the Rioja region. The average age of the vines is around 30 years. Since the company was founded, their son Juan Bautista Garcia has been working in the family business. A qualified oenologist, he now oversees operations in the winery. Ana Fernandez Benoga is responsible for the sale and export of the wines. The hand in the logo symbolises the hard work and passion of the Paco Garcia family. From the very beginning, their aim was to do things differently from the rest. They have achieved this impressively with modern, fruity, flavourful and spicy wines, as well as an eye-catching design.
