18 months in French and American oak casks. 50 % new French oak casks, 30 % one-year-old French oak casks, 20 % one-year-old American oak casks. 24 months in the bottle.
Tasting note:
An intense bouquet with notes of blackberries, liquorice, slightly toasty aromas, vanilla, spices, and mineral and balsamic notes. On the palate, good acidity with an excellent balance between fruit and oak. A lingering and harmonious finish.

Bodegas Protos is the oldest and one of the most renowned wineries in the region Ribera del Duero in Spain. Founded in 1927 Founded by eleven visionary winegrowers in Peñafiel (province of Valladolid), the name is derived from the Greek word for „the first“. The winery has had such a profound influence on the region that it gave its name to the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin (D.O.) and is now one of Spain’s most visited wine destinations.
