Guia Proensa: 94 points
James Suckling: 92 points
Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
Grape varieties: 90 % Tempranillo, 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
Vinification:
Matured for 16 months in American and French oak
Tasting note:
Clear and shiny, cherry red in colour with a violet hue. Powerful nose with great aromatic diversity, essentially red, ripe fruit, balsamic, spicy and roasted notes. Voluminous in the mouth with intense and long-lasting sweet and sweetish notes. Just as complex on the palate as on the nose, elegant and full of personality.
Bodegas Arzuaga:
The winery was founded in the early 1990s by the Arzuaga-Navarro family and is a prime example of their commitment and passion for terroir and wine. Quality is paramount here! And that starts with the care in the vineyard.
It guarantees that yields are extremely limited, in keeping with the harsh Castilian climate and the poor soils. This leads to a high concentration in the grapes, which in turn is the prerequisite for the quality of the wines.
