Vinification:

The grapes are meticulously selected and the grapes are gently pressed.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, in which the wine matures for a further 9 months.

The constant and gentle bâtonnage stirs up the lees, "nourishes" the wine and allows it to develop its powerful structure.

Tasting note:

The intense, bright straw-yellow colour is typical of this wine.

Fine and delicate on the palate, with notes of pome fruit (pear), a light citrus flavour and pleasant toasted notes.

The attack is full-bodied and pronounced.

Excellent balance and an outstanding structure make it a wine suitable for ageing.

Vinattieri:

The Vinattieri winery was built in the classic Bordeaux style: The centrepiece is the courtyard, the heart, where the grapes are delivered and selected. Depending on the quality, the wine is matured in steel tanks or barriques. After bottling, Vinattieri allows the wines to mature in the bottle, which can take between one and four years, depending on the variety.

Over the years, the Vinattieri winery has taken over a significant area of vineyards, which are essentially spread over three sites. 80 per cent of the vineyards in Mendrisiotto are located on limestone soils of various origins. The Lugano and Malcantone areas, on the other hand, have more acidic soils that produce fresher wines.
