Light yellow-green colour, silver reflections. Subtle meadow herbs underlaid with a little blossom honey, white stone fruit, hints of pineapple. Juicy, tightly woven, well-integrated acidity structure, papaya touch on the finish, salty aftertaste, versatile.

Emmerich Knoll:

The Emmerich Knoll winery in Unterloiben is one of Austria's best-known wine estates. The traditional label enjoys a similar cult status in wine connoisseur circles as the wines themselves. Emmerich Knoll is no friend of fleshy, exuberant wines. Dense wines that show strength in a condensed form without going overboard - that is the credo of this top winery. Emmerich Knoll and his equally wine-loving son Emmerich Junior cultivate around 45 % each of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner on the 14 hectares of top vineyards Schütt, Loibenberg, Kellerberg, Kreutles and Pfaffenberg, with Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Rivaner, Blauburgunder and, for some years now, Gelber Traminer sharing the remaining 10 per cent.
