Tasting note:

The Podere Giodo winery is located in the heart of Montalcino. It was founded in 2002 by star oenologist Carlo Ferrini. Today he runs it with his daughter Bianca and her husband. Carlo's aim was to produce wines that are modern yet traditional. The two red wines from Giodo are known for their finesse, elegance and an unmistakable cherry flavour. Carlo Ferrini also owns the small boutique vineyard «Albarelli di Giodo» on the Sicilian Etna, consisting of just eight small plots. These vineyards are planted with very old, ungrafted Carricante and Nerello Mascalese vines.
