Tasting note:
The Bio-Monteverro 2021 Terra di Monteverro is dense and elegant, with a linear approach that is very much in keeping with the character of this vintage. It is a full-bodied wine with dark fruit flavours and a generous textural richness. The wine has more Bordeaux character than Tuscan traits, but this is a statement that could well be in line with Monteverro's general philosophy. There is a hint of sweet ripeness on the finish. The blend consists of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Monteverro:
Monteverro is located at the foot of the village of Capalbio in the southernmost part of Tuscany, the Maremma. The vineyard is located a few kilometres from the sea and is characterised by its characteristic slopes with stony red clay soils.
What makes Monteverro unique is also its people. Their passion for wine means that they make no compromises when it comes to the manual processing and selection of grapes in order to ultimately bring out the best in every grape variety, every terroir and every vintage with precision and innovative winemaking techniques.
