In stock

75cl

Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.

Grape varieties: 80% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Vinification:

The wine is vinified Bordeaux-style in conical vats made from French oak.

It is then aged for at least 18 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting note:

Intense red colour, fresh, rich bouquet, hints of red berries such as blackcurrant and blackberry.

Oxygenation gives the wine a floral note of violets. The wine is pronounced and full-bodied on the palate.

The first impression is that of a structured wine with great ageing potential.

The main organoleptic feature that characterises it is the fusion of the different characteristics of these grape varieties.

Vinattieri:

The Vinattieri winery was built in the classic Bordeaux style: The centrepiece is the courtyard, the heart, where the grapes are delivered and selected. Depending on the quality, the wine is matured in steel tanks or barriques. After bottling, Vinattieri allows the wines to mature in the bottle, which can take between one and four years, depending on the variety.

Over the years, the Vinattieri winery has taken over a significant area of vineyards, which are essentially spread over three sites. 80 per cent of the vineyards in Mendrisiotto are located on limestone soils of various origins. The Lugano and Malcantone areas, on the other hand, have more acidic soils that produce fresher wines.
