Pinot Gris Strada AOC Schaffhausen - 2023

From the small beginnings of a vineyard in 1945, an important family business has developed over the course of three generations. The founder Jakob Rahm-Huber was a Hallau original with rough edges. He laid the foundations of our business with the local Hallau Pinot Noir, which was first sold under the "Graf von Spiegelberg" brand in 1959. Thanks to good sales, the winery was able to purchase grapes from other winegrowers just two years later, making it an important economic factor for the region. In 2004, the general partnership is transformed into Rimuss- und Weinkellerei Rahm AG, which has a new management and board of directors. The company was one of the first medium-sized companies in German-speaking Switzerland to receive IFS (International Featured Standards) quality certification. This enables the winery to offer various services at the highest level. These include contract bottling, third-party pressing orders and the production of customer brands. At the end of 2017, the Davaz family of winegrowers from Fläsch took over the traditional Hallau-based Rimuss- und Weinkellerei Rahm AG from the Rimuss Foundation of the Rahm family. In future, Rimuss Kellerei AG will be the sender for the non-alcoholic products and Strada Weinkellerei Hallau AG for the wines produced in Hallau by this long-established company.
