Quatr Nas - Rocche dei Manzoni - 2015
CHF 190.00
In stock
300 cl
Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
Grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Pinot Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon
Vinification:
The individual grape varieties are vinified and matured separately. And the blending is carried out shortly before bottling. A very exciting blend, even if not very typical for Piedmont.
Tasting note:
The nose is complex and varied with floral notes and a hint of almond. On the palate, the Quatr Nas from Manzoni is delicate, round and soft.
Podere Rocche dei Manzoni:
Rocche dei Manzoni was founded in 1974 by Valentino Migliorini. The winery is located in the small enclave of Manzoni in Monforte d'Alba. The buildings that make up the complex blend perfectly into the beautiful hilly landscape of the Langhe. A place where art, culture and music come together and offer a unique opportunity to discover the great wines of the Langhe.
50 hectares, all located in the municipality of Monforte. Over time, an indissoluble bond developed with the hills, which led the winery to only consider acquiring land within the municipality.
The Pianpolvere Soprano wine cellar in the Bussia vineyard was purchased in 1998 and is run as an independent unit. It is an organically managed winery.
The production philosophy is based on the desire to intervene as little as possible in the operation of the wine cellar. However, this does not mean that they do not have their own style. Rocche dei Manzoni has always remained true to its core processes and these are based on the use of new small oak barrels for red wines. Over the years, Rodolfo has learnt how to properly blend wood into wine, which led him to introduce the use of egg-shaped concrete wine tanks in 2008. Thanks to this, the winery has succeeded in laying the foundations for the production of wines that are even more full-bodied, elegant and silky smooth.
