Aromas of blackcurrant, lavender, gravel, dried leaves, spice box and dark chocolate. It is full-bodied with firm, well-integrated tannins. Creamy and juicy with a solid core of ripe fruit and a long, flavourful finish. Grows on the palate. To be tasted from 2025.
Château Pédesclaux:
Like all great wines from the appellation, Château Pédesclaux possesses the complexity that reflects the terroir from which it originates. On this mosaic of soils, the clay soils convey strength, while the gravel soils express pure elegance. Pédesclaux embodies the depth that is the quintessence of Pauillac, balanced by a unique sensuality. With each vintage, the meticulous work on these excellent plots pays off, while the winery's revolutionary equipment allows the wine to develop its own unique personality.
Over the years, a narrative arc has emerged: a fragrance typical of this terroir, a mixture of blackcurrant, violet and cigar box. The Château Pédesclaux, which is sometimes denser and more tropical, sometimes more ethereal, while always maintaining a balance between powerful flavours and silky, fine tannins, also has considerable ageing potential - another characteristic of the great terroirs of Pauillac.
The terroir consists of Garonne gravel on a limestone background.
The area of 49 hectares is planted with 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
