James Suckling: 93 points
Alcohol content: 14% vol.
Grape varieties: 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc
Tasting note:
La Gravette de Certan is the second wine from the famous Pomerol vineyard Vieux Château Certan. A typical representative of Pommerol - which is now opening up beautifully and is great fun to drink.
Very delicate, with a rich fullness in the background, great, spicy richness and juicy play from the Cabernet Franc. This multi-layered play continues on the palate, with the racy tannins of the Cabernet merging with the velvety fullness of the Merlot extract. Very long, with fine and lively acidity, La Gravette is an incredibly entertaining Pomerol that authentically reflects the size and breadth of its grandiose terroir and takes the taster into its own labyrinth of flavours.
La Grevette de Certan 2014 is the second wine from the famous Pomerol vineyard Vieux Chateau Certan.
The blend consists of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
