Schiller – von Salis – 2025
CHF 19.00
In stock
75 cl
Falstaff: 90 points
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris
Vinification:
Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are pressed together and left on the must overnight in contact with the skins, which extracts the delicate colour and additional aromas. Fermentation then takes place using selected yeasts at controlled temperatures between 15 and 18 °C. Ageing in stainless steel tanks preserves the wine’s freshness and emphasises its fruit-driven style. A short ageing period ensures a harmonious, balanced overall profile.
Tasting note:
This Schiller impresses with its fruit-driven, inviting aroma, in which juicy strawberries and ripe elderberries blend harmoniously. This crisp, berry-like fruit lends the bouquet a lively freshness and an approachable, charming style. On the palate, it is fresh and finely balanced, characterised by a pleasant lightness. A subtly sweet fruit note lends it additional smoothness, whilst the well-integrated acidity provides clarity and structure. The balanced, refreshing finish rounds off the overall impression, making this Schiller an uncomplicated yet stylish wine that harmoniously combines fruit and freshness.
By Salis:
Founded in 1994 out of a passion for fine wine, von Salis has grown to become one of Switzerland’s leading wine companies. What began as a vision shared by Andrea Davaz and two fellow wine enthusiasts is now a passionate team of over 25 highly trained staff who devote themselves to the world of wine every day. Our credo has always been at the heart of everything we do: ‘Wine takes centre stage’. An important milestone came in 2025 with our move into our new wine shop in Maienfeld. It brings together storage, offices and retail space under one roof, creating a place where architecture, expertise and enjoyment come to life.
Our carefully curated range is constantly expanding and includes outstanding wines from the Bündner Herrschaft as well as from the world’s most renowned wine-growing regions. Salis’s own wines are produced in close collaboration with over 60 winegrowers from Fläsch, Maienfeld, Jenins, Malans, Zizers and Trimmis. The grapes that give our wines their distinctive character thrive across more than 50 hectares of vineyards. This is complemented by around two hectares of our own vines in the Bündner Herrschaft.
Local character, quality and sustainability shape everything we do on a daily basis. We take responsibility for nature, culture and future generations, and aim to preserve and further develop the beauty and diversity of our heritage.
