Hidden Champion Spain: Great world-class red wines
Spain is one of the most important wine regions in the world and has no need to hide behind the other major European countries. The terroir and climate in the north of Spain produce the best wines, which regularly achieve 100 points from international wine tasters. The high altitude and the sometimes extreme day/night temperature differences give the grapes an excellent freshness, which gives the tannin-rich, black-fruity and berry flavours of the wines their unique character.
